An asbestos industrial disease is caused by inhaling the very fine fibres which permeate the air when materials containing asbestos are moved or dismantled and these fibres can also settle on food and drink and cause an asbestos industrial disease by being digested.

Thank you so much for your comment, and your thoughts on this issue.
With your personal experience in a situation as extreme as the one in
Libby, Montana, I know that you have seen so much. The findings of this
new study are truly frightening, and an eye-opener as to just how
hazardous asbestos is, and the future that may be waiting as a result of
its widespread use.

I will let you know what else I can find out about this study, as well
as any others that may indicate that asbestos exposure could cause other
adverse effects.

Thank you for this info on finding of other causes/cancers caused by asbestos.I have a question for you.There are many things wrong with a asbestos victim that is not just a lung issue.I have said this for 10 years now yet can not get medical diagnoses due to liability to a proper diagnoses.Specially when telling a patient/Dr., asbestos is the cause.I know also that this asbestos fiber/Tremolite has been studied to death since the 60s when WR Grace did Hamster study and found Hamsters died of Mesothelioma from the Tremolite asbestos fiber found in Libby. This Tremolite is the cause of Meso…today we know…today we know alot.Now MY Dr. experience is mostly common sense that if it quacks/walks and shits like a duck…it is a duck.No need for million dollar grants to study this fiber/duck.BUT this duck is big business as long as this duck can be down played.And it has for over 40 years now.Anyway,many of my friends and family have female problems and digestive problems and even MS and diabetes which is rapid in this North Western part of the Country.Spokane Wash. is really bad and most of these export plants where this deadly Tremolite asbestos was shipped has left a trial of death.Meso in Montana is a study done from 1979 to 2002 with over 200 Meso deaths(known) of people who just live next to the Railroad tracks all out of Libby and all over this country.I know asbestos has alot with many things happening to us physically and mentally.I believe Crohns disease is caused by asbestos and Diverticulitis and MS and Diabetes also.This I would like to see proven and made public as with Ovarian and throat. Makes sense to me that what goes into the mouth goes out the rear and everything in between is exposed to asbestos causing all this cancer and pain and death.Plus I would like to see WR Grace pay for all my/our medical other than lungs for which they are guilty of destroying.Any light on these other effects?
