The United Kingdom’s schools are facing a serious health crisis after a government report has found thousands of schools are failing to follow safety guidelines.
One-fifth of schools that responded to the government survey were found to be “not fully compliant” with asbestos procedures, according to The Telegraph, and of that fifth, 100 were deemed “a significant cause for concern” and required intervention. The Department for Education said it emailed schools and determined the asbestos issues are now safe. (more…)
